 A host of stars turn out to dedicate a new theater complex at their alma mater, Northwestern University in 1981. Includes Claude Akins, Ann-Margret, Richard Benjamin, Candice Bergan, Robert Conrad, Nancy Dussault, Charlton Heston, Ron Hussman, Carol Lawrence, Cloris Leachman, Garry Marshall, Patricia Neal, Jerry Orbach, Paula Prentiss, Robert Reed, Tony Roberts, McClean Stevenson, Peter Strauss, and others along with the students of the theatre department. Candice Bergen, appearing on behalf of her late father Edgar Bergen, donates three of his Charlie McCarthy dolls to the school.
