Boy in the Plastic Bubble

Inspired by the heartbreaking true story, Todd Lubitch (John Travolta) is born with a deficient immune system and must spend his entire life in a completely sterile, hermetically-sealed environment. As he grows up, Todd longs to see more of the outside world and live his life like a normal teenager. Wearing protective, bubble-like clothing, he is able to attend school and soon falls in love with his neighbor, Gina (Glynnis O’Connor). As their relationship blossoms, he must decide between facing near-certain death to follow his heart or remaining in his protective bubble forever. Robert Reed (The Brady Bunch) and Diana Hyland (who won an Emmy for her performance) star as Todd’s determined parents.
